The skill I am going to tell you is time management.It is the process of planning and exercising conscious control of time spent on specific activities,especially to increase effectiveness,efficiency and productivity.It involves a juggling act of various demands upon a person relating to work,social life,personal interests and so on with the finiteness of time.

我要告诉你的技能是时间管理，即有意识的规划和控制用于每项活动的时间，以提升有效性、效率和生产力。它涉及在有限的时间里如何有效满足一个人对于工作、社交生活以及个人兴趣的各项要求。

For somebody,time management is quite a natural thing.They do not even realize they are doing this in their everyday life.However,for me,acquiring this skill was pretty challenging.I did not have the habit of planning things and allocating appropriate time to various tasks.As a result,at the end of the day,I often found I had squandered my time and had not completed anything.

对于一些人来说，时间管理是件很自然的事情。他们甚至没有意识到自己在日常生活中这样子做。但对于我来说，获得这项技能很有挑战性。我没有规划事情以及为不同任务分配合适时间的习惯。这样一来，一天结束之后，我经常发现自己荒废了时间，没有完成任何事情。

Realizing this problem,I turned to my grandpa for advice.He used to be a Chinese teacher in the public school,and after retirement,he had founded a successful company that provided after-school crammers.This article is from Laokaoya website.He was always highly organized and efficient.He said time management could be achieved through four procedures,which are creating an environment conducive to effectiveness,setting priorities and goals,elimination of non-priorities,and implementation of goals.I should say,after his guidance,my efficiency did improve a lot.

意识到这个问题，我向我爷爷寻求建议。他曾经是公立学校的语文老师，退休之后成立了一家提供课外辅导的公司。他非常有条理，也很高效。他说时间管理可以通过四个步骤实现：创造高效的环境，设立有限目标，消除不必要的事情，以及规划实现目标的步骤。在他的指导下，我的效率确实提升了许多。

I think time management is important because it is the key to success.It allows me to take control of my life rather than following the flow of others.With this skill,I can accomplish more tasks and acquire more knowledge every day,gaining me an advantage over my peers

我认为时间管理很重要，因为它是成功的关键。它让我可以控制自己的生活，而不是随波逐流。有了这项技能，我每天可以完成更多的任务，获取更多的知识，让我相比于同龄人而言更有优势。
